1. What problem was Magda embarrassed about? She failed her English speaking test.

2. Why is she unhappy with her friend? Because her friend told someone else her secret.

3. How is Magda going to change her behaviour with her friend now? She doesn't want to tell her secrets any more.

4. Why does Salma think her friends are different to her? They have different opinions and they don't always agree about things.

5. How does Adam feel about science subjects? He finds them difficult.

6. Why is he anxious about what his parents will think? They want him to be a doctor and he doesn't want to disappoint them.

4. Read and match these answers a-c to the people who have the problems in Exercise 1.

a. You should talk to them and tell them how you feel. They might be more understanding than you think. 3
